20 Playgrounds, Abu Dhabi Mainland — Phase 1C
Abu Dhabi Municipality’s playground development programme set out to make outdoor play possible through the summer — and that starts with shade. Under Phase 1C, Al Hamra Industries designed and installed shade structures across 20 public playgrounds on the Abu Dhabi mainland, working with KEO International Consultants and Al Ryum General Contracting.
Each park received a shade solution matched to its play equipment, layout and neighbourhood character — from bold striped canopies over climbing structures to clusters of mushroom-form shades sheltering seating and activity zones. Colour was used deliberately, turning each playground into a cheerful landmark for its community.
Delivering twenty sites in parallel is a test of manufacturing discipline. Our Sharjah factory produced the steelwork and fabric panels in standardised batches, while dedicated installation crews moved from park to park — giving the municipality consistent quality and a single point of accountability across the entire programme.
